What the hell is that suggestive monstrosity between the conifer and the tree, looks like something covered in cropped ivy but also looks like something else! A close up may offend some sensitive members :D

No I got excited about it, but I think its a pair of jeans hanging on the washing line.

As I said to paladin wait until her finest lagenry is on the line before cutting it!

Hope they dont ruin your plants i had an open front garden ..i had just planted it last june with bergamots etc that i had grown and the idiot next door came out with a rotavator and rotavated all my plants down the centre..so we had to get a fence put up..on gravel boards all down the centre so he cant do it again..as i walked around with a face as white as a ghost for about two weeks as i was so angry..the best of it was when he had wrecked all my lovely plants he didnt plant anything!!..fortunately i have many plants and was able to replant after the fence went up..as mine is on the front garden its only 4 foot high..but it stops him doing it again..i have 6 foot fence around the back..the person to the right of me recently put new panels up and his workman was trampling all over my garden so i kept going out and telling him to remove his mess!!fortunately i only have trees down that side...but he put the panels on a wall and was knocking the rubble my way so i told him to shift it...I dont know why people cant do jobs like this in the winter ..before our plants start to grow!!at least you will have privacy when the fence is done..you could also cover your plants with fleece or something while you are away to give them extra protection..

Now getting back to being serious, I did have one other thought about fence, if it is her fence I am pretty certain that the should have the best side facing you.

You're right there Waco...and she is facing them so!
One side has been completed today and already it has made her garden appear smaller and very narrow.

Nice that you can see what is going on before you go away. You know it could be a good thing out of a bad, I know you liked the open footpath, but you do have your private castle now and that does mean controll over your own land even though it does appear to be diminished.

Neighbours must have seen my last posting about their rubbish because believe it or not some of it has been moved and the children are now playing in the garden! Would be good if they kept in their own garden. :(
A football suddenly came over the fence quickly followed by a boy who ran straight across o/h newly earth up potatoes etc. leaving deep footprints!! Makes me mad when so much care and time has been spent on our garden.

You can choose your friends but you can't choose your relations OR NEIGHBOURS.
(We are lucky having good people either side of us).
Hope quality of life improves for both of you. [IMG]
