Maybe this unprofessionalism is a blueprint for a new professionalism.

As an aside, when visiting New Orleans about 18 months ago, I got a lttle handy with my credit card and purchased lots of goods. The mall staff asked me if I wanted a form to take back and claim back the state sales tax I had paid. My reaction?

I said no thank you. I walked your sidewalks, drank your water, used your transit. No. You keep tne money. You earned it and that is fair.

      Smiles... and very surprised reactions.

That's what Canucks are about :)

Been to Canada several times fishing. Resort stays, charter fishing boats, restaurants, food shopping, and gift shopping. Don't recall taxes or not. etc.

Our states differ with tax on merchandise and food products, the amount or not. As the state below me, Delaware, you can go to just over the state border to a wonderful store that sells tile, flooring etc. Buy it there and no tax on it. But in PA there would be tax. Same with Alcohol , just over the line, buy your wine etc and no tax on it, called bootlegging, can be fined if caught. no one is caught, LOL. Same with furniture.

In PA, no wine can be delivered to your home, so those wine clubs do not work for me. Either I buy local and pay the tax, or take the drive, about 30 mins to load up.

Sounds just like England and France - and about the same length of time! :heehee: The main things taken over the border are wine and cigarettes. :noidea:
