Thanks @Richard.r I like the the new layout, it is very neat, and grouping topics into 'special gardening discussions' and 'garden planting discussions' is great :dbgrtmb:. Now is it too cheeky for me to ask if it is possible to have these two forum listings in alphabetical order so I don't have to go down to the bottom of the list to find the 'container garden', for example.

We have Richard.r now ... so :snooze:

I see it now, it's one of the headings on the Home Page that I think of as fake links because the cursor turns to and hand when placed on them, underlining appears, but nothing happens when clicking on them

              GC fake link.jpg

EDIT: I think the change from Non-Gardening Discussion to General Discussion may be confusing some people as a post about growing lettuce and other stuff has been posted on the General Discussion/General Forums/Wish You Were Here board http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/no-dirt-required.63441/#post-799422 I hope this is not the tip of the iceberg.

OK have had a thought.. What about changing Garden Planting to General gardening discussion

Then rename the old general discussion to "Other Areas of the Garden Discussion" obviously move the general discussion sub forum into the new general one too.. I know, not very imaginative so will keep thinking..

              1) New Members - Change 'How to use Xenforo', to Using our Xenforo forum software

              2) General Gardening Discussions - not sure if 'Livestock' should be here as livestock isn't gardening, but our hens are in the garden.

              3) Specialist Gardening Discussions - I don't consider Edible Gardening as 'specialist' and think it should be in General Gardening Discussions

              4) Garden Planting Discussions - these (mostly 'specialist) could be split between 2 & 3

              5) General Discussion -

              Re-name Non-Gardening Discussion.

Change format to that used for Gardening Discussions in General Gardening Discussions (as non gardening stuff headings is now more prominent that gardening stuff).

Move Events, Garden Visits, Gardening Clubs & Societies and Retailer Feedback (re-named Gardening Retailer Feedback) to Gardening Discussions, and move Photo Competitions to Hobbies and Interests.

              6) Site Feedback and Information - 'How To' ..... overlaps with 'How to use Xenforo' in New Members
