We've had 1mm in the last two months and 3.6mm in Feb. Sprinkler is complaining it is overworked and no holiday.

Here on the Solent, similar to you but the significant last rain was before 26th. It rained on april 2nd Wednesday but only 0.01mm according to the EA
Forecast (16day) suggests it might rain 13/14th April .
      We shall see !

Last significant rain here was 12mm on 26th January. Since then, just a few mm here and there, not really enough to soak down and wet the soil properly. It doesn't matter in cold winter weather when plants aren't really trying to grow, but now that we're well into spring they need rain and plenty of it.

I think march was officially very dry in the UK . Its climate change and it just worries my about hot July and the summer months will be in the UK,

The current spell is due to a blocked weather pattern; that's not particularly unusual, we're just more likely to get nasty ones blocked over us.
I can remember a colleague at work calling in sick 20 years with sunburn. In the UK, in March.
And my sister's first wedding was in July a good few years ago; we had a severe heatwave in June and she was worrying herself sick about how hot her wedding day would be. In the event it rained, and the rest of the summer was a normal British one.
So there's no point worrying about the current weather; the pattern will eventually break and there's no way of predicting what the rest of the summer will be like. Just hope it's nothing like the last one. Climate change is giving us a general trend of higher high temperatures and worse storms, but the current situation is likely just weather.

Very little rain here either which would be unusual for this area if the weather patterns were normal. Been on the change for a long time but still hard to guess what's going to happen - other than everything is "extreme" these days.
5 water butts here and still something in all of them but how long it will last is debateable. I don't water my garden as such but the GH and raised beds will be moaning before too long.

I have pictures of spring 2011 with my grass burnt to a crisp in May, the weather turned in June, that year, and it was the wettest 3 summer months I can remember, floods not here but in many places.

Its just weather, nothing unusual about it.

Don't appear to have had rain here in Kent. Plants in tubs are only surviving because of water from the butts or bath. Seedlings I'm having to water daily, instead of the usual every other day at this time of year. The cold easterly wind is not helping.

I've got an area to sow wildflower seeds in, but it is just too dry.

I sowed some beetroot yesterday and the surface was dry, but moisture underneath, just gave them a quick watering to settle the soil around the seed, anymore and the surface will pan and cracks will appear.

I found the same planting things out today. The surface looked really dry even after our little bit of rain on Thursday, but underneath it was cool and moist. I'm not planning on trying to sow any seeds outside until the weather breaks though.

Oh the rain will come, when it comes and it will come. It is also very warm, which never helps, I thinking of giving my Strawberries a good drink when I get home.

Looks like a year where properly planting crops will be key. It will reward those who have troubled to build good soils with plenty of essential organic matter, with structure that permits capillary action to draw up ground water and who have grown robust, well rooted plants to gain the best of that available.
The time for puddling-in is now !
