I'd like to think they saw and read the collar Pete, but if it was my cat I'd keep it in until it had been seen by a vet.

I only put my phone number on the collar and said call me, important.

I'll have to wait a bit and see if anyone calls.

Trouble is these days people might just think it's a scam of some kind.

As in my( unrelated..oops) weather post, if you don't hear back from them today...report them as if ill and not being given the appropriate care and treatment....it's cruelty imo.

Bear in mind that the owners may be treating the cat

Very true but I think it's tagged so that could be checked on prior to any treatment being given .:fingers crossed:

I would be more than happy to put in a few pounds to help fund any treatment for the poor Cat if Pete needs this help.
Not sure how this could be done? Admin please.

Kind offer John but not necessary.
He looks so contented I'm actually thinking @Jiffy might be right.

But what if he is not being treated? Personally, I would take him to the vet and let the vet contact the owner or speak to the RSPCA and explain the circumstances to them. They will advise you without offence to the owners.

I haven't seen him pee today.
If it was a UTI I would expect him to be piddling all over the place, that's what used to happen with one of my dogs when it got old.

Could be nephritis sadly - fairly common in cats and needs positive treatment by a vet. Hope the owners call you @pete

Just send your money straight to my bank account

Seriously now, I think @pete is handling it OK now that the cat seems to be better. Although I would still be inclined to ask a vet to let his human servants know.

Without taking the cat back to the vet they won't know who the owners are as they don't keep records when you go in for a check on the chip.
