My friend has a animal search and rescue face book page, which is linked to other wildlife organisations. She organises search and rescue for lost and mistreated animals, which has plenty of volunteers, is there anything like that in your area.

I found a stray dog in our barn one Monday morning, with in 30 minutes of phoning my friend she was down to check if the dog had been chipped. The dog hadn't been chipped but it turned out that the dog had been mistreated when she found out who was the actually owner, she looked after the dog until she found new owners for him.

She has numerous cats at the moment, one was hit by a car, image below.

The cat needed surgery, which was funded through the members who follow and help her in searches. This is an image of the cat yesterday with two others she has nursed back to health, she is currently looking to rehome them.

She has a good network of people who go out looking for lost animals, they have all the tech, drones and thermal cameras. Go fund me pages are set up for animals that need urgent medical attention and she regularly puts a list up on her page for food donations. I have collected cages and dropped them back off when they are struggling to capture animals and pets.

What a lovely person and a great ad hoc organisation.

I'm beginning to think poor old ginger had been ailing for some time, he used to come and see me in the mornings and come indoors and sleep for about 8 hrs, last few days he's not been bothered about coming in and seems to be roaming around.
This morning he came in sat in the chair, had a good clean up then went back out.
I just walked up the garden and he did that mad dashing around they do when they are playing, also back to climbing trees.

It's silly season here, don't know if it happens at the same time in UK  Rosie will be out on the razzle all night for the next few weeks, but not mousing, for a change.
Even if Ginger has had the snip, he's probably feeling the joys of spring :)
