Yay Chickens

 

Should get a crop of rice before Autumn.

 

Can't stand Rice.

Glad i'm not Chinese or i'd be in trouble.

 

years ago I`ve tryed both rice and watercress , they both grow well , but i think we need more heat for the rice......as we all agree about the only thing is growing are the snails , lets then convert our garden in snails farm .

the watercress is easy from cutting straigh in water , work well even with the tesco salad bag , and tesco whole black rice easy to start in water as well.

 

Really? Even good quality Rice? Bought Tescos Basmathi for years ... one day they were doing Tilda brand 50% off and it was slightly cheaper, so being Mister Miser I bought that instead. Tasted amazing (by comparison). Went to Asian supermarket and bought the two most expensive packets they had, by way of comparison, without taking a note of the one we had had from Tescos ... turned out one of the two that I bought was also Tilda !! and we've stuck with that ever since, whether on offer or not .

 

Kristen , has to be raw rice , have a go it`s easy and they make nice bog plant ; ) ...
You are right tilda is the only one that small like reall asian rice , but I use mostly Spanish and arboreo for my risottos and paellas ; ) .

 

No, got really drunk with a mate in Tooting & Badgered the guys in the Asian supermarket as to what rice themselves would eat. Ended up with a 25kg sack of Tilda, still ended up putting it on the compost heap

Give me oats, i've got Ginger hair.

 

If that's the case, I'm getting some chickens , because this is the worst year I've known for the little **beeps**

 

Yep, i'm the one smiling because what the others don't know is that i've got a Giant Panda for dinner.
