    During the autumn I've been rounding up any ladybirds to overwinter in the greenhouse and the sunshine this morning brought 2 of them out from the leaf litter under the peach tree.

    I found this character on my kitchen floor this afternoon ... may I present ...

    He was about 20cm long, so only a baby and much skinnier than he looks in the photo. T'other half nabbed him in a plastic bottle and tipped him out unceremoniously into the orchard! :D
