The oxalis is imaginative and interesting. It is the troublesome "weed" that most of us were moaning about last summer. Yet Glenw has turned it into a potential winner.

The late autumn is probably causing many of us to wait a bit. Certainly there is no sign of autumn colours in the leaves in my part of the world. Only Virginia Creeper is red and even then, the one that clothes my house is perfectly green still.

PS - saw a first wild primrose in flower this morning - in October!!!

I wouldn't worry Hornbeam, we had our first touch of frost last night and tonight looks as if it's going the same way and already the leaves are responding. Providing we don't have too much wind I think it could be very colourfull soon.

Windy and Marge, thanks for the kind comments. It was a bit of a fluke as I'd almost given up because it was too breezy to do what I wanted to do then I caught a leaf getting washed up by small waves on the shore at Loch Leven. The bubble 'pawprint' added a touch of serendipity and I thought it amusing - I'm easily amused though [IMG] :D

There's some really really good photos so far and It's going to be tough so keep snapping everyone!

There may be a frost at 56.2N in the Kingdom of Fife, but down here at 51.46N in the Kingdom of the East Saxons - it's still high summer.

    Phew - wot a scorcher! :D

Decidedly autumnal here. Chilly, misty and damp feeling :( Sounds like I should move to Bishop's Stortford [IMG]

Three excellent pictures, Petal. I particularly like "Fallen" - excellent composition.

Love those pictures, Petal! :D Just wondering what you want to call the first and third ones, to make it easy on anyone wanting to vote for them? :D

    Very "tasteful" Hornbeam. [IMG]
I'm photgraphically challenged at the moment as I haven't entered anything (or last month) but looking at the quality, again it is hard to compete.

Yes HB thats a nice idea.

I was a bit concerned when I suggested the title for this months comp.but I need not have worried GC members are certainly up for the challange.
    Good Stuff everyone. [IMG] [IMG]

Just let your pictures interpret the theme, Strongy. I don't see this as "competing" in any way. Its just a good opportunity for us all to participate in different ways on a monthly theme.
