The Gorilla one is rubbish - I don't even know what it was advertising.

That R. Whites advert must be the best ever - I'd never heard of it before then - made me go out and buy some.

It does need some clues - some adverts are so obscure - if it doesn't jump out straight away then they won't sell the product. Except for the Guiness adverts of course - they are always brilliant - and when you see them the first time you're not sure what on earth they are on about.

cadburys - cadburys - cadburys - well thats three bars I've sold then :)

Used to be one long musical going round Asda as a kid, me my brother and sister singing all the adverts as we went round the supermarket

I too didn`t have a clue what they were advertising with the gorilla at first but I still liked it. The guinness ones-couldn`t abide those except the ones with the german guy. ( german sounding name)

Have searched but can't find the coffee advert where all the girls
stand in their office near the window at eleven o'clock waiting to see this
workman  come down the ladder - was it Nescafe or Maxwell House?
Was about the same era as the Levi jeans/launderette advert I think.

    Coke??[IMG]

No, definitely coffee. You wouldn't have a crowd of office girls
all drinking coke and sighing as a 'pin-up' workman climbed down
    the ladder past their window.
I think it was whispered ' it's eleven o'clock' from one to another in
    explanation of the gathering.
Sounds a bit naff but it equalled the levi jeans being removed in the
launderette and put in the washing machine :hehe:
