Ok I will admit I have not been a fan of the Olympics, However after being lured in ( OH was watching the opening ceremony) I was very impressed, for the first time in a long time I felt proud, best part for me was 7 professional athletes nominating 7 young athletes to light the individual petals to make up the big torch, the professionals have their memories and recognition, so to pass this opportunity to the young ones allowing them to have a truly wonderful experience and memory was brilliant.
Britain were the first to let future hopeful's have the important job, well done

I once had to engage a sheep in combat. Fortunately it backed down after I ripped my rucksack off my shoulders and held it menacingly in the air ready to swing it.

I once had to single handedly hold off three psychotic horses who blamed me because a crow startled them 100 yards away. Realising they couldn't catch the crow, they charged the wife and me. I had a flimsy twig (its the best I could find) and I wielded it menacingly at the three horse now stood in front of me, ears back, weighing me up. Wife and I are so lucky that horses are a bit fik. Collectively they probably made up nearly a tonne of muscle to my 14 and a half stone of mostly flab. I told the wife to walk backwards back to the gate and not to panic and run or I'd be dead. As she did so, each horse, one a time would try to get its face passed the stick to bite me, and I'd have to spin to face that horse with my dried out dock stem. Stupid beasts, if they'd called my bluff they would have soon realised that my stick wasn't even strong enough to squash a fly, and my menacing roars and showing of teeth were far more terrifying than anything I could have actually done.

For those that missed it or if you want to laugh again, here is the Queen making her entrance.
