Ermmm, Jenny, if she wants to sit there with a face like a fiddle that's fine by me, but inspecting her nails as Team GB went past was, well, strange. I think there should have been a handy aide to give her a quiet nudge and say 'er, Ma'am. The host team has joined the party. They're the ones in the white ghetto-gear with the attitude. Pretend they're dawgs or horses and look interested for a minute or so.' Either that or let's admit that it's a lot to ask of an eighty-six year old and get her to do a quick wave before handing the gig over to her son or grandson.

Shame that a British opening ceremony should turn out to be British. Sheesh!

Cassius Clay( now known as Mohammed Ali) was a great boxer who won the Heavyweight Boxing Gold Medal. He was an ambassador for the USA and a credit to their flag. He was invited to attend our Games for that reason and I'm sure he came of his own free will. He is not dead - he has a form of Parkisons disease. Still a great guy,

Missed out a bit here due to PC problems.
But must say I found the opening ceremony a complete dogs dinner of nonsence.

Although I did drop off a couple of times and went to bed at 10.30 as I was mystified as to what it was all about.
Kids jumping up and down on hospital beds???
Blokes wandering around looking confused, wearing top hats????

I think the rest of the world will not understand.
        I didn't, and I've lived here for a while.

I know who he is, and I know he was a great man. He may well have came by his own free will, which I'm sure he did. I just think it was a bit sad that a man that once could have knocked out anyone in the stadium, probably the world, now needs someone to hold him up, almost parading him as a figurehead for the crowd. There was nothing dignified about that particular scene.

So what was all that rubbish about the Queen and James Bond, a helicopter etc.

              Total rubbish, not even funny.
