This the rose I was wondering might be the answer to Sheal's quest for climbing part way up a pole. It's called "White Skyliner" and I bought it from one of the Cheshire Specialist Rose Growers. If you look closely you'll see it has literally hundreds of buds ready to bloom.....and it repeat flowers.

It's planted in a large oak barrel and, I think, this is it's 4th year in there.:snork:

Thanks Armandii. That's a good choice. It's probably the one I will choose if I go for white. :dbgrtmb: Meanwhile, I still have to make up my mind between white and yellow. Yellow is my favourite colour with most things, but I'm yet to find a rose as a yellow contender. :)

How about good old 'Arthur Bell', Sheal?

The flowers are a nice clear yellow, they have the shape you like and, best of all, dear old Arthur smells wonderful.

This has to be my favourite rose its called 'Rosy Cushion' reminds me of 'Ballerina' but the flowers on this are double the size there are 3 planted together here and they're just over 5ft tall (even after a hard prune) by 7ft across they'll keep flowering well into October, also never have to spray against black spot etc, love it

I'm away for a few days soon and I've got a feeling I'm going to miss the first opening of the buds on "Compassion" which I planted dry root last Autumn and "Orange and Lemons" which was planted dry root very early this year.:dunno::mad:
