Very effective Kedi. Similar effects can be achieved with either a fine nylon stocking or rubbing the lens with vaseline. But these are 'softer' and rather romantic. Do you think I can get away with printing one of them off for Boss lady on Valentine's Day instead of a dozen reds which go up by about 10 times this week? [IMG]

I never thought of that, John, thanks for the tip. The stocking bit sounds good but the vaseline, I think you were kidding me there

Sure, print any of mine off for a card, just don't forget to buy the flowers too.

No Kedi. Seriously, the vaseline trick works once you get the knack. And of course a bit of cleaning afterwards. In the days before digital I had a clear filter which I smeared and kept for just that. Normally used for soft portraits but I don't do portraits now of course.

    Flowers? What flowers? :D

Hi again sadly now have no leaves or flowers on my orchids still have their stems.

    What should I do?

I have been very tempted now to cut stem right to the base of the plants.

Just before xmas there were new buds but they only dropped off and never opened.

Hi Scotkat. Usually when an orchid loses it leaves then that is it. I (or rather Boss lady who has our orchids) believe that all you can do is cut it right back and spray the growing medium regularly with water and occasionally a VERY weak fertiliser solution. You could try re-potting into fresh orchid bark but once the leaves have gone there is not much hope.

Scotkat, I think it`s safe to say they are dead. Check the roots though it may just be the topgrowth. But if the roots are brown and dry. [IMG]

Mrs S. is drooling Kat. I love orchids but she has been growing them for nearly 30 years (since she was 2 she says). Too much like hard work for me. [IMG]
