When Gardeners Corner started most members used their names or nicknames and then people hid behind a pseudonym. As someone who only pops up occasionally I'm happy to use my name.

 

My name would get you a lot of points in Scrabble.

 

Well … I was casting about for something on a gardening theme and decided on ViewAhead as a garden is the view in front of you as you look at it, but gardening also requires looking ahead to the next season/yr/decade even.

 

I figured I'd use the same name I've used in all other, mostly USA, forums and since the 90's. It does tell you right away where I am and give clues to my growing challenges so hopefully no one thinks I'm an eejit!

 

My name was given to me by two of the other students when I did the RHS course at Capel Manor college. When we had to introduce ourselves at the start of the course, I told everyone I had been an Allotmenteer since I was a young boy, and it stuck.

 

When trying to think of a suitable name for this forum, I decided to use my love of Italian. Sogni Verdi translates to 'Green dreams' and they are exactly what I have for ever trying to improve my garden.

 

Many moons ago, I was lucky enough to take a year out to go travelling, in NZ I did a fair bit of hiking, they're version of trail mix is called Scroggin. As I'm a keen walker I adopted it as a pseudonym.

 

Mine is very boring - shortened version of first name + middle initial + last initial. I can never think of anything clever/witty/funny when it comes to signing up to forums so I keep it simple.

 

Mine just a shortened name of my surname , PE teacher used to call me Perki

 

Have just changed my avatar picture to my favourite flower. Hope it shows up.

 

My name is my first name and chosen to make clear that I'm in Wiltshire but the moment I start writing everybody will think, she is not English. I'm fully aware of my limitations to change things
