What a lovely face and I'm so sad for you today Freddy. He'd had a most wonderful life with you and it's never easy to say goodbye.

Freddy, my heart and thoughts are with you for the loss of your beautiful little Dexter. How strange, I found out last year I had two brothers and the eldest one is named Dexter ... not a very common name. RIP and happy trails over the rainbow bridge little guy. RIP xx

Once again, thanks for those supportive comments. I'm not normally given to such emotional outbursts, but he made such an impact on our lives. Just little things that mounted up that we didn't notice, until he was gone. He was such a stubborn git, wouldn't do anything unless it suited him:) But his sense of fun was a real feature. When it came to 'walkies' time, he was always keen, but it involved a ritual. He would come up for his lead, then run off as you were about to put it on. This would happen several times until he was finally snared:biggrin: We also have a Cocker (Bunty), two totally different characters. She is full of enthusiasm, but he was much more laid back and reserved, which made him so alluring.
I remember the first night we had him. He decided he would get under our bed. I wasn't having that, so I put my hand under the bed to get him out. He bit me! Nothing serious you understand, just a nip to let me know he had other ideas. I told the wife "He won't be staying". Funny how things turn out eh?
If I'm being honest, I had no idea that pets could have such an impact on our lives, after all, they're just animals, right? Yeah, right! (wrong)
