I made it up Snaefell, our only mountain (2034ft) last Wednesday, but it was a hazy day so the shots aren't that clear. It was also windy and cold and my fingers perished holding the camera.

Armandii, to be honest I'm not sure. There is a restaurant up there, so I assume they do. :)

I took myself off out today with a view to getting some colourful shots. The sun disappeared as soon as I got in the car and the temperature had dropped to 3C on the higher ground. I also had problems with my camera, so a bit of a disaster really. The pics below could have been better but you get the gist. :)

I've split the pictures over two posts.

          These were taken at Injebreck

I took these from the Mountain Road, not very spectacular and the reason for them is, that today I could see Scotland, although not that clearly.

Your trees look further on than ours across the water here in Cumbria...all the leaves seem to have been blown clean off yours.

              Steve...:)

No Steve, those pictures were taken on high ground. On lower ground the trees are stunning this year, all the typical autumn shades, but with my camera being a bit iffy I didn't bother with those shots today.

The huge Copper Beeches along one of our main roads are beautiful, they've turned a deep orange. :)

Lovely views of bonny Scotland Sheal.I didn't know it was visible. Reminds me of our views of Calais here - on a good day. Often, a cold crisp Winter day gives the best revelation.
              IOM looks very nice too.

Thank you Jenny. You're right about the colder crisp days having the better views. It's always the days I haven't got my camera with me that I can see the world that surrounds Mann, so typical!

At the top of Snaefell there is a plaque that says, on a clear day you can see seven Kingdoms. Mann, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, England, the Kingdom of Heaven and that of Neptune, the sea. Wales is a rarity though, I've only seen that twice in the twenty years I've lived here. :)

At first glance I thought the 2nd pic was Queen Victoria, Sheal. Have you been inside the Camera Obscura????

No, it's one of those 'must do' things. It's only open at certain times during the summer Armandii. I think it was last year that it was given an overhaul. :)

I'll see if I can find out opening times. Do you fancy an expensive jaunt over the briney to see it? :)
