Thank you all for your kind comments, it was great to get out again with the camera.Local knowledge was key as I was able to get around to all these spots within an hour and a half, before the lakes warmed up enough to cause a ripple on them.

        Steve...:)

The text and border is auto done by photoshop, via a script I wrote, it has a text prompt in the middle where I enter the photo name I want and then photoshop does the rest. Here's a screeen capture of it in operation.

I'd guessed that was what you were doing Steve. I've got an auto framing script but have not yet so far stirred myself enough to go as far as the text bit.

Nice demo video BTW :blue thumb:

I wouldn't call myself well-travelled, but I've been to quite a few places. I still think The Lake District is THE most beautiful place on earth....great shots Steve:blue thumb:

Many thanks Freddy, I agree with you it is very beautiful, but more so than that as it changes by the hour and you never see the same scene twice. Here's a few more shots from the other day.

                Fabulous shots, Steve :love30:

So, getting up early is one of secrets to getting the reflections. That's me out of the running :heehee:.

Were the Anglers Crag shots taken from Bowness Knott? That second shot is brilliant :dbgrtmb:

Anglers Crag is also known as Low Ling Crag and is on Crummock water, I believe "Anglers Crag" is the locals name for it. I took that photo from the road about a mile up the road from Rannerdale, just above Fletcher Fields.

Thank you for the comments and see you soon..

I said to Mrs Shiney that I was a bit puzzled as it looked like Crummock but Anglers Crag is at Ennerdale! You fooled me with the local name :heehee:

So was it just near the car park where the cotton grass (eriophorum) grows?

I've only ever been to the lakes once. It poured down almost non-stop all weekend, yet wife and I loved it. It is such a picturesque part of the world, and when its too late to be out and about, we enjoyed the proper pubs there. Wife loved the open log fires, and I loved the local real ales.
