    Not quite Dai, but its heading that way.

    Val, I think it has something to do with the fumes released by oil based paint.
    Total rubbish, but then the world runs on rubbish these days, we have quite a lot of it apparently.:D

    What's up with just using 'Cuprinol Garden Shades' - or even better, the Wilko own brand which is two-thirds the price?

    Yes, Cuprinol is still oil based but he wanted his gate to be WHITE!! :D

    Interesting discussion. I had no idea that oil based paints were being phased out. I suspect that its all to do with health and safety - and very little to do with being better.
