PS: LOL I looked up your page, there are some things I really love, especially the "Red Mountain" painting. I wanted to paint something exactly in that style for my dining room, but I just get entangled into details and got carried away in my usual photographic style, a real PITA!! :(

Ivory, those painting are beautiful. to be able to express on paper / canvas / plywood...etc....and to get it right so that people look at it is a real telent.
well done you and power to you.:)

I'm a total total novice compared to you since I played around with water colours when the moon was very blue and have been lately trying to get back to it only because I think....if I don't I never will, and life is too short etc etc etc..... and I have many paintings and books in my head then I want to get on paper.......
    but WOW......those paintings are amazing.
    thank you for posting them.

I had, what you can call a kick in the Ar$e from my God and I feel that having been given a half of a second chance, I want to do all those things I have put off because I was too busy being the perfect evertything to everyone but never made time for me.

Now I have learnt to make time for me..:thumb:

Thank you all for the very nice comments. :) I am just gardening now, I am terrified by the long german winters, lol, so I am spending every minute outside. Back to painitng in the long winter nights though. Apart from my dining room I have also various acrylics in mind....

I was tempted to post some more of my paintings here because of the HD discussion in the photography forum.I am no good at photoshop and such things, when I want a picture of something that my camera cannot see, I paint it. :)

    Hi Ivory,

You show a remarkable degree of talent - it is plainly obvious to me that you are a perfectionist, which is one thing, but to have the ability to put that down on paper is a true gift. A very very strong painter. I would hazard a guess that you can draw very well too.

Thank you very much for showing us.

Just seen your work Ivory, and I think it is wonderful and I much admire your vision to produce such lovely art.

That horse is definitely a masterpiece, great idea of the horses in the background of your selfportrait. Really like the Primula painting, but for me Sharp Edge is best of all and truly reflects the effort that you have put into it!

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Absolutely stunning painting, how I envy you your talent, it makes me think I must try harder, but it would have to be MUCH harder,
    Are you self taught?

I love the painting of the woman's torso (not just because it's a woman's torso) because it looks so life like!
    Excellent.

Sorry I did not see these posts before! only just came back from Italy, and I see I missed some earlier ones. Very kind comments, I really thank you! Wee Tattie, yes, I am a selftaught painter, my schooling was in a completely different field. Not sure which one was the woman portrait, I tend to forget things lately, lol.
