This is the gradeII listed building I'm at this week...a Lodge in Gloucestershire doing a nice little job raking out the old lime morter and repointing with new....only another 100sq metres or so to go
I got bored yesterday and found time to play with some lime morter:D However I did get to service these high level windows and still had time to look inside this lovely church next door
Just beautiful Nick.. You know I often wonder what it can be like to live in such utter peace & tranquillity as houses like that always make think of & feel.. Now I expect you are going to tell me it isn't.. :D Love the head too did you take it home..??
Thank you Penny Marley, the house was occupied and simply emptied for a refurb, allbeit a major one and redecorated. The kitchen was newish and cost £80,000 but we took it out..seems it wasn't quite good enough!...refurb is 1.7m BTW Considering the total sale price was 3.1m a new kitchen is small fry:D The head is only 2" high so yes,I did bring it home to add to my other stone works:WINK1:
I was way out of my normal area today when I went to the Church in Nether Wychendon near Bicester.....and spotted this very unusual Post box site
I expect some of you have read about this.... First Great Western - North Cotswold Line Improvements Well, the line runs right along side our office/workshop....after all it did used to be where the Station once stood, and work is nearing completion Shame the ballast laying engine ran out of fuel just twenty yards short of the crossing:D
This glazing job is in a small village called Temple Guiting in the Cotswold Hills A lovely Georgian house owned by the village residents. It comes with a quite delightful swing and quaint steps up on to the village green
Ziggy, there are several small quarries around there Penny....I think it was a Georgian Gentleman with many maids/servents judging by the attic quarters they lived in...damn chilly methinks
Back at work after about of Laberynthitis Working in the Vale of Evesham on a barn conversion....we are doing it for a resale because the Lady of the house doesn't want to live there now she's bought it...reckon she caught my bug:D. With South facing views toward Bredon Hill from the patio
