    Hi

    I got my palm off the internet, ebay - I bid on quite a few things - delivered to my door and very cheap!!

    Well done T.H. eBay gets knocked on GC but I find it very useful. Have had the odd nasty but I am certainly ahead with my eBay purchases.

    Why put a pampas grass there try a nice Bamboo.

    You could try Pantiles at Lyne or Longacres on the A30 - for a modern style Pantiles has a lot to offer in the way of large established plants and is not far (20 minutes) from Twickenham.

    Hi

    Yes visited pantiles last week and phoned today and was at longacres Yesterday - no luck. I phoned the palmcentretoday and they said they had none in!

    I've had no luck with bamboo in the past, tried black ( at great expense) and green varieties but found all the leaves fell off in the wind.

    Hurray, I got my mature pamapas + plumes. Went back to Pantiles and talked them into selling me one that had been nabbed for a garden design.

    Great - busy day planting tommorow.

    t-h, if you want mature plants I would suggest a vsit to the Palm Centre, you will be surprised at what they`ve got.
