@strongylodon All you need is a 62mm to 55mm step down adapter.

Hi Woo, I've missed this thread and very funny really as I have been looking at these this evening and your feed back has been very informative :)

I'm tempted to purchase a 100mm - 300mm most places quoting £378.00 however on E-Infinity £305 so the temptation is even greater at the moment :dancy:

                    Hi @wiseowl
Having amassed enough pennies in the piggy bank I'm going to get this FZ1000 or the Nikon d5500 still unsure but swaying towards the fz1000.
Do you shoot in raw and edit any of you pictures?

Good morning @mowgley my friend I don't shoot in raw but if you would like me to for a few test shots I could, but to be honest I am more than satisfied with the quality of the images,I have tested approx 20 DSLR's Canon's,Nikon's.including the D5500 and the FZ1000 with its F2.8 and a 16x zoom range with a focal length equivalent to 25-400mm. What's more, this is a Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 at the widest point and f/4 at the narrowest.
Image blur is also reduced by the Lumix DMC-FZ1000's Hybrid 5-axis Optical Image Stabilisation.to ensure better image quality than the average bridge camera, the FZ1000 has a 1-inch sensor (significantly larger than the 1/2.3-inch devices in most models), with 20.1 million pixels. The larger size sensor means that the photo receptors (pixels) are larger and this has a positive impact upon noise control, dynamic range and image quality as a whole. It does everything I asked of it:smile:
