Lovely photos guys ... that last one is awesome, Robert.

I have this feature on my new camera, a Fuji Finepix S1000fd which I am trying to come to terms with ... so perhaps I may join this 'pamoramic club' in the not too distant future .... :)

Your best yet Robert! :cl-p: A stunner of a shot. You've got the exposure bang on - it's got an almost HDR quality. I like the way the chap in the left foreground is very slighly blurred - it adds life to the shot.
    9/10!

OK... I have visited York Minster several times now and I am beginning to understand the light changes in the place, and they are a plenty..
Usually for single shots I go +1EV depends on how much sun is shining through those windows to produce massive highlights.
Today was ideal for the big shots. No sun and a nice diffused light in the building plus the flood lights were on as well.
I now allways bracket +1 to -1EV for single shots, so thats 3 exposures per picture. With them in the bag there should be one good exposure plus the option of using the 3 exposures for possible HD processing.
I would expect to have at least 50+ shots on each visit.
For this panaramic today and because of the low light I took several batches at different ISO 100. 400. and 800.
The best batch turned out to be at 100 ISO but the exposure was up to 1/2 Sec at f3.3.
No tripod today so a steady hand is required.
    Hope this helps.
    robert
I have posted the four original pictures I used for the pana for referance

I have just processed another Minster panaramic x4 exposures with a rather strange result.
The software has nicely made the verticals vertical but curved the wall which should be straight. Like it, or love it, it is different.

Thanks Dave for comments. I now know there are many, many fine pictures to be captured at the Minster.

I have found some adjustments on my stitching software that I did not know about.
I increased some numbers and gave it 5 exposures from my recent visit to the Minster.
It took a lot longer to do the process and it seems to have produced much improved images. Res is up quite a bit.
The only issue is the final image is 23.7 MB !
I have greatly reduced the file size for posting.
I little more work in Photoshop in an attempt to remove the highlights from the left/right windows and maybe darken it down a tad and I think this image is sorted..
    Your comments as usual please
    robert

Hi Robert on a purely personal level I think the first Image has the edge as it is a tad closer than the second Less foreground I can,t see any great difference in the quality but then as an Owl my eyes have been worn out looking for Mice :hehe: But but even the second one is an outstanding Image:cl-p::)

Its a real shame that we seem to lose image quality during the posting process. My final 27MB psp image is showing far more detail then the one I posted.
But then I will not complain as afterall it is a gardening forum !
Many thanks for comments Woo, always welcome.
