likewise, Wanut, I am a non believer, it's what you want to believe. A lot of people have made a lot of money out of 'ghosts' and 'paranormal'.

Yes, I did win the car - a little Citroen AX - and it gave me my life back. I had just had little darling no.1 and my old banger had failed its MOT and I couldn't afford to repair it, so I was stuck with new baby and no transport. Got my new car and off we went - up and down the motorway visiting Mum and Dad, family and friends.... oh, happy days....

But the more spooky stuff scares me witless!!!

Okay, so why don`t you believe? David I believe people when they say they have seen or think they have witnessed something but that is in there own mind,a senario conjured up due to a sensitivity or susceptability of their own mind usually combined with some natural phenomena that coincides, a case of 2+2 =5.

Now, I prefer to keep an open mind. Until it`s been proven one way or another, nobody on this site can say that ghosts or phantoms or flying saucers do or do not exist. We live in a 4 dimensional world, but why can`t it be a 5 or 6 or even 7 dimensions? If someone can prove beyond all reasonable doubt that paranormal
activity does not exist, then I invite you to do so.

dai its a subject and a half .. my mum went to a spiritualist who told her she would have twins and with no record of twins in 200 years in our family she said she laughed it off . six months later she was pregnant with twins the minute she was told she nearly fell over..no one can explain how the lady got it right .my other spooky situation is when my aunty was ill we were all at her bedside and on her last breath she lifted up for the first time in a week outstretched her arms and said mum..my grandma passed away 15 years before her. did she see her..makes you wonder ;)

We had a friend in Alabama who had a "special" son. He was a spooky but exceptionally intelligent kid of about seven. One day we were sitting around and we could hear a fire engine in the distance and David said "that old woman has died". We asked what old woman and he said the one where the fire engine was going to on Bob Wallace Avenue. We turned the local news on and it was said there was a house fire on Bob Wallace Avenue and the house was a total burn out (wood houses in the South). It was the next day when they discovered a body and it was an old woman and David said ... "well, I told you so."

Another day David said that he would be pleased to see his father that day and we said his father was in Viet Nam ... his father walked through the day that afternoon ...

He predicted his older brother would die on a particular spot on the roadside in the near future ... and sadly not long after his brother was hit by a car and did so on the very spot where David said it would happen.

I've only touched the tip of the iceberg here but nobody will ever convince me that paranormal doesn't exist ... and t'other half will go along with me on this one.

I don't think that you can be that convinced by somebody else's views or experiences, you need to have experienced it yourself and then you become a believer, as I did about 30 years ago.

The post came early and my wife was still asleep, I opened a letter that turned out to be from the building society about our mortage was months in arrears (which turned out to be a bank cock-up) but I didn't know that and it really worried me at the time! So this came straight out of the blue, and I wanted to wake my wife up and tell her about it, but I thought she seems fast asleep, it can wait.

She suddenly sat up, and told me that we had had a letter from the building society and that our mortage was in arrears!

From that moment on, I have believed in thought transference, which is something that science cannot explain and I am now open minded to ghosts and UFO's although I have no experience of them.

Nobody`s asking you to believe, Walnut, just saying that, until it`s proved one way or another, have an open mind.

well i fully believe in the paranormal, experienced first hand ghosts, years agao i passed my sisters house and saw what i thought was a man dressed up in a jesters outfit, thought to myself my sisters having a party, afterwards i said ohhh did you enjoy your dressy up party the other night and she said i dont know what your talking about we never had a party, it turned out later she had sprits in her home.
i have had ghosts in 2 of my homes and i sense someone in my place, apparently my great grandfather watches over me and has asked why i havt got his picture on my wall, just the day before that i was looking at his photo and i have my fathers photo on the wall

Sorry not convincing stories I have travelled the roads in the dead of night in places you would never dream of going there have been instances were things have happend but have had rational explanations, one time 2am cycling down a dark lane trying to see as far ahead as possible in my dim cycle light I made out these white shapes moving towards me they were suspended above the ground and moving from side to side, being sceptical about such things as ghosts I carried on riding towards them with some trepidation I may add,if I had turned around I would never have proved what it was and would have been convinced I had seen ghosts, it turned out to be a cople of fresian cows wandering down the lane only the white parts were showing up in the darkness.
