Pass the Parcel seed swap

Hey chaps, I've sent to Chengjing. I hogged the parcel for so long I just wanted it off my hands! Sorry if this was naughty but that was the only address I had through PM.

But good news is my seeds are going great guns.:yho:I've already pricked out three trays. And I was happy I managed to get rid of a lot of stuff in the parcel that I know I'm never going to get round to planting or just can't manage because of pest problems.

The parcel is huge!

I think we may need a few rules being put into place, nothing too strict but so things run smoothly, Is this ok by all? feel free to pm me, it'll all be discused by the list. I'm on holiday for a few days on saturday so you lot have a think

How about...

- maximum hold time before passing on parcel, unless previously arranged
- message person after you on the list before sending parcel (this probably happens already!)
- if no response to a message, move on the next person, after 3 days (??)
- contact details held by Jo for everyone, as an emergency

Can I also add, if you miss your turn, then you miss your turn, you wait til it comes round again.

I agree we need some rules and those put forward seem very reasonable, but with the holidays approaching do you think we could be a little more flexible, especially for people who have been on since conception :lollol: I personally will probably not go away again until Dec to March again ,

 

I think if there are rules, they should apply to everyone Pam ( I know you are only joking), if it goes round smoothly it will go round quickly, opting out of a round should always be an option, I can't promise to not go away when it falls on my turn, but I can promise not to mind so much if everyone has the same thing going on.

I think there will be a quiet period-I won't be sowing anything in Autumn anyway, so a "rest" period for the poor parcel can be explored.
