Pasta........what is your favourite shape??

    love my summer dish of Vine Tomatoes sliced thick simmered slowly in butter and bathed in heavy cream brought to warm, (salt+ pepper) Then heaped over pasta that was gently wrapped in homemade pesto. (homemade pesto==basil + walnuts +garlic + good olive oil.)
    Waiting for the tomatoes.

      My son makes us this:
      Garlic, fresh italian herbs (from garden) sauteed at a low temp in extra virgin olive oil, he then adds salt and black pepper and coats the pasta with this and a grating of parmesan - sound like it should be greasy and horrid but it is just lovely.
      A student dish- extra special because he has made it for us!
