They came trade and I don't know the cost. Our village Building Supplies retail them for £3 each. There are 25 in a pack I think. I'm sure mine are Bradstone.

Mrs Pal has wanted a patio like this for years and it's proved to be worth the effort.Brownie points for me :D and excellent for the kiddies.
inter,if only I were closer it would be a pleasure mate! [IMG] Just an idea but maybe Mrs inter could be your labourer and carry the slabs to you to lay and mix the 'muck'too?? [IMG]

Int, If i was closer, Id pop up for a day and lend a hand.

Be wary with the pointing and laying moartar staining the slate, I tend to use black die in the moartar rather than contrasting it markedly with gray/white pointing.

Also since the slate is not particularly porus I use a slug of sbr or outdoor pva in the laying course muck to help adhesion.

Steer well clear of going for white cement in the pointing mix, ive done a few jobs like this and charge tripple as with sutch a contrast it needs the upmost care to not get stains.

with white cement I usually mask all the joint edges with gaffer tape prior to comencing pointing.
