Yum, yum .. but I would have pretty climbers, perhaps roses. :)

Strangely, Geraniums do better here with some shade also. I always make a note when I go to the garden centers as to which plants they have under cover and you would be amazed as what is.

Because its the 'schools fence", you cant plant or attatch anything to it....which sucks.

Such lovely pictures Penny, thank you. Everything looks happy and relaxed. Not hanging on to life with gritted teeth like many things in my garden just now. Where was the nest of eggs ? I'm not up on bird egg ID, but I'll put 50p on blackbirds.

Yes Penny, we have robins here (with the red breast) and a lot of people think they are a winter bird with their association with Santa and all that.
But no, they are a predominantly full time resident on these shores.

          Lovely garden too.

It's a different sort of robin though. The ones in Canada and the USA are bigger than the UK ones.

English Robins were introduced to America but I'm not sure whether they are in Canada or just American Robins in Canada?:biggrin:

Sorry Penny, our line has been down for two days ... thieves of copper again, fourth time this year and in the country it is difficult to monitor things.

How about just rose bushes rather than climbing or another lovely evergreen shrub you can control and contain and give you some privacy? :WINK1:

American Robin:blue thumb:, I don't think our Robin could take the winters you have, they sometimes suffer in ours.

                        Vicky, it's becoming a worldwide problem.

No....our robins leave and head south around October, and usually come back around March....there is no way they could handle a Canadian winter :blue thumb:
