    hi again pete2255. thanks for the cuttings you sent me. they are on the kitchen windowsill and have a good set of roots. ill pot them up in the next couple of days and see how they go

    the cuttings you sent me are growing like crazy, Pete - and I think I'll be in a postion to supply the entire forum with cuttings soon! I can't believe how fast they're growing - each one is filling a large pot now! Pity I can't say the same about my sarcococcas - they haven't done much since they emerged as seedlings. Still, I've potted them on recently, in the hope that they're like tomatoes, and like a bit more room to spread their roots. I'd like them to develop a bit more before I send you one!

    Think I would go for pots, ripening could be a problem later in the season.
    That way you can move them somewhere undercover later perhaps if the fruit hasn't ripened. ;)
