LOL watch it rip my cat to bits you mean. Cheers, I`ll take the ring the council route I think, they come back and check the traps for you - a la `life of grime'. Not sure about the traps snapping noise but cant have it both ways I suppose.

Claire, as Spud says, get a couple of humane traps, they don`t kill, just trap. So you will need to release them somewhere.:D

been on to the council and they are going to have a mosey on down, there are dormice in the area so it can be a bit tricky.

 

I guess you've never seen how far rats can jump then!?
As others have said, it's possible to get humane traps that don't kill the mice, maybe get hold of and deploy a couple of those and get hubby to deal with the traps once they're occupied?
