i couldn't give a wombat's poo if Pistorious is or is not granted bail. IT DOES NOT WARRANT BEING TOP ITEM OF BBC2 NEWS!!:wallbanging:

I am more than annoyed about this simpering vitriol regarding the "disgraceful lack of improvement in Hospital food". It is difficult enough / almost impossible to recover strength or health in hospital following major surgery or a serious illness. No one I know, who has been in hospital in the last 10 years has a good word to say about Hospital food.:wallbanging:

      Jen

It would help if they actually fed it to people who cant even hold a knife or spoon or a hot cup of tea !!
as they never bothered to help my mum when she was recovering from gall stones and others in the same predicament and hearing them telling relatives "oohh we have tried to help" !!! the food just sat on the table next to her bed , and they wondered why I spent 12 hours a day at the hospital !! yes feeding a vulnerable lady who just needed a bit of help !!

      Dont get me started

Agreed, my dad was recently in hospital with cancer (which he is thankfully over now), and he said the care given was seriously sub standard, and the food was shocking. What's more they let some student in to the ward, trying to get my dad to sign a contract in agreeing to have experimental surgery that may have life threatening implications (for the doctors latest thesis!!?), if that's not seriously un-ethical I dont know what is... what are they playing at? Hospital care might be the worst service in the country at present

The term: "bog roll". No rational reason for it.

            Just saying.

People who pull stupid faces instead of saying what's on their mind.....
eg....today i drove to a DIY store...the one you always have to 'que' in even when the shop is virtually empty....:gaah: i was pulling into a parking bay where the car on the left, Mr and Mrs were putting things on the back seat and had the door wide open...fair enough...i waited ...and waited.....it was only a couple of pot plants but hey ho....it must have taken them all of 2 minutes and spent more time scowling at me....i eventually got parked....but they stayed sat in the car still scowling....yes i suppose once i was eventually parked up it was quite close but i was well within the lines of the parking bay...not my fault the bays seem to be getting smaller.....i wanted to ask them what seemed to be the problem but decided against it.....i was fuming though....they must have had a tiff....:dunno: i'd rather they had said "there isn't much room is there"...something... anything instead of just scowling....but they succeeded in making me grumpy then:mad: ....i'm alright now though:biggrin:

The bays do seem to be getting narrower don't they. I had almost the opposite thing once. I'd parked up somewhere in the one of only two remaining parking spots. I'd no sooner got out of the car when an older chap parked carefully in the last remaining bay. His wife, like so many passengers, didn't do any checks before opening her door straight onto my car. I saw it, the old chap saw it, and the old chap saw that I'd seen it. The look on his face was a picture. The poor old chap cringed. I could see the effort on his face as he tried to think what on earth he could say about that. I just put on what I hope was a sympathetic smile and remarked about how the parking bays these days seem to be getting more and more narrower and made light of the situation. The look of relief on the old chap's face was also a picture. The way I see it, we can chastise people for making the same mistakes as we make, but if we do, then its only fair to expect to be chastised when we get it wrong. Or we can accept that mistakes happen and just get on with our lives.

This is an odd one I know ... people who are not truthful with you, ie, tell one person something and you another and something 'comes up' in a conversation ... so embarrassing ...

... one thing I absolutely 'abhor' in a person is one who does not tell the truth ...

I hate it when i'm driving and I let someone out of a side road and they don't have the decency to say thank you! Always gets my back up.

Tidying the kitchen before I go to work, to then come home and find it in a mess because my lads have decided to cook and used every available work top space in the process!
