My Brahia is in a pot, I've only had it a year, bought from the Palm Centre in London, although it is slow growing it will need repotting occasionally and like the Phoenix behind will one day be too big to repot.

I like that strongy, it looks good.
Mine were both small plants, I'll have to save my pennies and buy a bigger one, maybe it will have a better chance.
When its too big to repot are you going to plant it out?

I have nowhere to plant it out unfortunately as the back garden is all paved :( and the front is too exposed to the east winds and is mainly grass and Callistemons! I hope to keep it some years in a pot but with that and the Washy and the Phoenix and the pittosporums and the Leucodendron and....there's not going to be any room for us to sit out there. :D

Right then lets move out the garden an onto the allotment, first this is the back garden....

Then we move up a bit further....

Right this is it, first view, try not to pay too much attention to the rubbish, its the plant that count.

My third pineapple is coming along and will be ripe in a month or two.

The adenium obesum (desert rose) seedlings are doing well and growing fast.
Agaves are one of my interests, I've been growing this for years, Agave victoriae reginae,
    [IMG]

Agave Ferdinandi regis, got damaged two years ago, and it still shows.

Aloe striata, it grows outside and even flowers, you can see the similarities ti red hot pokers.

Its the coolest evening we've had for a couple of weeks here, they say it might rain tonight.
Its not rained for quite a while and my pumpkins might like it. The water lillies wont care, one way or the other.

Wow Pete!!!!! Yet another admirer here!!!! Your aloes are stunning!!! They are so perfectly shaped!!! not lopsided and no damage (except for the 2nd slightly!!!) ...and as for the pineapple - I take it its in the greenhouse???? Did you grow it from seed, or from the top of a fresh one from the shops???? Each time we see them in Sainsburys, I mean to buy one and grow the top - a bit of a novelty for the boys!!!

    love the lilly too.....

I might be able to find an piece, of the aloe, suitable as a cutting if your interested BM.
The pond has far too many goldfish in it, but its amazing how difficult it is to find GOOD homes for them. I've had people ask if I have any spare fish, and when I ask why they need them they say something along the lines of, Oh mine all died. Needless to say I dont let them go to people like that, but anyone who's serious about it can have as many as they like, as long as I'm left with a few. [IMG]
As for the pineapple, I seem to have got a bit of a run going, a few years back I rooted a top and I also planted some seed.
The top took a couple of years to come up with the goods and the seed took three years, now I just reroot the top when I cut the fruit.
This means I have two plants on the go and they seem to fruit alternate years, having said that I dont think I'll get one next year, probably the year after.
They grow in my consevatory, its got a winter night minimum of 10C
