How lovely to have them so tame. We used to have a Dairy Shorthorn that used to come to be groomed at the same time as the shire horse but we have never been able to get close to the Longhorns or the Dexters (I must admit that we didn't try that hard either:))

They can swim reasonably well. There were a couple "Hungry" and Hungrier" that were the sole bovines on Tanera Mor in the Summer Isles where we've spent a few idylic holidays. "Hungry" took it into her head to swim across to a tiny adjacent island. We missed the fun, but it was apparently a b*** of a job loading her into a small boat to bring her back home!

If you ever need a holiday away from just about everything (no roads, no shops and only a half dozen inhabitants and two coos) the island is perfect.

OMG!!!!!! Looks like heaven!!!! Even the dog can come too!

Pal - I have 2 boys - the oldest is "that" stage where personal hygiene is an unknown phenomina that only nerds and girls take interst in...... He has no problem getting in the bath and flooding the room, leaving towels and wet soggy footprints all the way back to his bedroom (where, I may add, I DO NOT DARE ENTER for fear of being dragged under his bed by some mutant growth from an old pair of mouldy socks!!) but he most certainly doesn't get the soap and shampoo near his body and hair. And as for that strange bottle of stuff called deoderant - thats just for marking where his chest of drawers is!! :euw: - you get the idea.....
