Well to me, when The Lovely Charlie and I first thought up and introduced the Comp with Nathan's blessing and when started it was really only cameras, the the cameras on phones iPhones and pads had not come in so it became much more sophisticated I suppose as technology advanced.. Now phones and pads are accepted as are Drone cameras I suppose....

So I think as long as the image is "as taken" on what you take it these days is irrelevant
.. We just specify "as taken" no enhancing it qualifys.

If however you want to use a microscope camera and picture then that would fall into the "Macro" photos... We used to have a Macro Comp as well.. ;)

I don't see that this would be a problem as long as the images remain within the rules of the competition/s.

Right now I'm trying to think, other than what has already been mentioned above that could be used for photography. :)

A few of mine have been taken with a action camera, I can't see a problem with using anything else as long as it's a camera for taking pictures :snorky:

I was trying to think how the picture taken with my minds eye could be entered in the competition but haven't yet come up with a solution. :noidea: :heehee:

              Hi Shiney, that's easy......

Draw/paint it and then photograph it and enter the end result :)

Reference to image in post #21 of August's competition. Doesn't this contradict what has been previously discussed?

I thought we decided that you are able to enter any photo as long as it complied with the rules.

The validity of the subject was up to the voters to decide whether they wanted to vote for it or not.

So any photo qualifies as long as it hasn't been 'mucked around with' (technical photographic term :heehee:) :dbgrtmb:

Good morning everyone as far as I can make out from the majority of members who took their valuable time to comment for which I thank them,it is a case of interpretation of the monthly theme, personally the reasons why we vote for a particular photo can be totally different from an image that we submit as our entry, enjoy your day and I am available 24/7 to answer all members questions;):blue thumb:

I don't know what the fuss is about.. It has always been up to the individual entrant who has interpreted the theme the way they think it is..!
Which is why we always have some very good photos..!;)
