They were a few others similar to Kilburn but yellow or pink think they were under water lily group
. I'll be looking out for them next year.

Some more of my grown from seed Dahlias. As they are un-named I've taken to calling these Winnie, as in Winnie-the-Pooh

Goodness, @mac12, those are impressive blooms, especially given all the rain they have endured. :blue thumb:

Thank you, the rain hasn't bothered them as much as the wind. The orange one in the middle I was given by a elderly lady who sadly died not long after.

Wow we are having awful weather today, the rain is like a monsoon and it’s so dark in the house, so just took some photos of my dahlias out of the kitchen window. They are the only cheery thing in the garden today.

Cafe au Lait has had a brilliant year, I’ve had so many vases full, I love the way the sun shines through them … when we get sun!

Some of mine are still earning their keep.
All plants in my garden have to earn their keep or they have to go

Just about all of mine have been caught by the frosts of the past few nights now. Those that didn’t flower this year are being shovel pruned!

Just a few of the seed grown ones of mine have had some foliage frost damage @Wild_Violet . The rest are ok, but I doubt there'll be much more flowering potential now.
Mine were slower than usual to get going, but were pretty good when they did.

Mine have overall been poor this year. Maybe simply as a result of the disappointing summer and lack of sunshine. A few tubers produced lovely flowers but far fewer than last year. I think my love of dahlias is waining.

I had one which was very vigorous last year @Wild_Violet, but it's been a bit hit and miss re flowering. I think the tuber's probably huge too, and needs splitting, so I might try that. It's got several more buds just now, and it's so mild that they should be fine.
It's the storing over winter that's hard for me as I don't have a porch or conservatory, and that's the only sure fire way of storing them here other than inside the house itself. That one managed in my wee gr'house, as I dried it off well and it was laid on it's side in it's terracotta [also helpful] pot, but leaving them outside is no use.
Slugs are the biggest problem though. I've bought seed again - at least you can sow lots and, if you lose some, it's not such a big deal!

Cafe au Lait still flowering … all these flowers are from one plant/tuber, I think the tuber is going to be pretty big when I dig it up!
