Pieris transplant

    I don't actually know the scientific reason why, but the Gardeners' World crew are quite specific that it mustn't be used on ericaceous plants.
    So I use rain water from my butts.

    Both plants are in the ground Bunslip
    I think that tap water can sometimes be quite 'hard' which means calcium .... those with a well (like me) will notice the deposits in their kettles [​IMG]

    I tested the soil in this Potted Pieris today with my new PH device and it said neutral. Maybe it needs to be repotted into ericaceous compost methinks?

    That may be a good idea. Pieris are acid soil lovers. Tap water is ok, especially if boiled - (though not ideal, as in hard water ares is it too alkaline), as long as the soil and feeding is for acid lovers.
