I've removed the Solved text in the title until we can get a clear identification

Seeing them standing next to the pond, could they be a water plant - perhaps a type of Lily?

If all else fails, you could perhaps try contacting Lee Burkhill, as it was his design.

This is his Facebook page which also shows an email address

Thanks for that @AnniD . @Sheal , the plant was planted in the border near the water feature but not in it. I can see where your suggestion is coming from though.
I’ve looked at more images of Ligularia and wonder if it could be Dentata Desdemona perhaps?

Thank you @JWK for removing Solved. Think I may need to continue researching but thanks again everyone for your input.:)

My first thought seeing the first pictures was Cyclamen, but that can't be the case, seeing the later images, they are a half a meter high.

Maybe something related to that family.

I still think it's Ligularia. There are various types, and not all have the same foliage/flowers.
There's one called L. den. 'Desdemona' which has quite green foliage.
Bear in mind that the foliage also changes a bit in colour as it matures.

        I agree with @fairygirl, I think it's Ligularia, but I don't know which one.
