    RIP, my mattock handle, gave its life today ....

    ... after many years of happy digging and hard work while digging out a bush . A horrible cracking spliting sound. [​IMG]

    Thinking of giving it a propper cremation later. :D

    my deepest sympathies too the same thing happened to the garden fork it only lasted 3 weeks. (spear &jackson) I tend to find solace in the garden shed [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    It's been a bad week for breaking tools - on Tuesday 2 border forks took exception to being expected to dig up a VERY large yucca.... one has straight tines now, and with the other one, the wooden shaft broke off! So the third thing was to be expected, I suppose.... :rolleyes:

    the thing is dendy, my hubby broke the middle two prongs of the new garden fork, hubby only weighs 9st,.we are now using the old cheapy. [​IMG] [​IMG]
