Plants in a shaded border?

Wow.... I think I'll rehang my trellis a bit more sturdily...

 

You guys are great, I have also just ordered Montana from H & M and thanks the the advice on here I now know I need much stronger climbing frames than I had planned!

 

Amanensia, are you saying you sprayed the weeds with Roundup this morning and then cleared the bed this afternoon? If so, you might find the weeds grow back, Roundup is a very good weedkiller but it doesn't work that quickly, you have to wait until the weeds turn brown.

 

I was going by the packaging, which said that Roundup would take "30 minutes to six hours" to get to the roots, and that clearing and replanting can take place once the roots are reached. The section I've cleared and replanted now was the least badly infested part of the total area so if I've been rather precipitate hopefully it won't be a major problem. Based on what you've sad I'll leave the rest until next weekend before clearing and replanting though.

 

Well, I've learnt something to, thank you. I didn't realise it said that on the packaging, however I'll still wait for them to brown just to be sure.
