Plants with Large Leaves 2014

A big for that find JWK!!!!!

 

Dibbleys had Begonia sizemoreae at Chelsea - not quite on the same hetfiness scale though

 

Whilst its not all that tropical, my Rhubarb has has a cracking year, the leaves are huge - its a real shame you cant do anything much with them !

I saw a video recently where people were using them as umbrellas.

 

I'm quite impressed with the size of my pumpkin leaves...

 

Can you not poison someone with them? Waste not, want not.

I had cornmeal porridge with pumpkin leaf stew when I was in Malawi and it was extremely tasty although the porridge takes a bit of getting through!

 

what about Passiflora megafolia?

 

also Victoria lily , found out that if you got a deep pond can actually grown in UK but the leaves will not be as big

 

Not so much a deep pond, but a warm (that really means indoor here) pond. Here's Victoria cruziana at Oxfords Botanic Gardens....................
