makes me very sad and angryto hear about such things, try to donate to various charities, but wish I could do more for animals that suffer at the hands of greedy humans.

I get very upset when I read articles about such things as Bears squashed up in cages with tubes attached to the to collect "Bile" used for an aphrodisiac or how few Orangutang's are left because there habitat is being taken away or Mothers killed so that their babies can be kept for a short while as "Pets".

i am sure Annie must be very sad and depressed, hope she can spend the rest of her days in relative comfort.

Sue there is certainly some thing wrong with the whole system...I have been rescueing animals for the last 16 years...even RSPCA passing on, because they could not make money out of them, but when I wanted a dog, they were going to charge me £ 50... i said ...no thank you, didn't even have a chance to walk ...'it'.. it was a male anyway, I wanted a female...gave me not other choice ... all in cages howling.. I was glad to get out... following week I contacted a Lady who rescues dogs and got the most wonderful girl about 2 years and lived to nearly 17 years with me or us then, sadly died 1. JULY... never seen a vet in all her life I had her.. now i will look for another nice Dog soon, but has to be cat friendly.
