Think we were all in the same boat this year Steve. Historically there was a summer that never happened where there was major crop failures. Unknown to us, there was an Icelandic Volcano that had cut the sunlight out.

On an even more gloomy note, wasn't it prophesised that the world would end in 2012?

? Wonders if I can return my purchases and get a refund? :D

I was merely commenting that my crops where good this year, despite the poor weather (apart from a couple of exceptions), thereby giving hope to Vince for next year.

I'm 30 miles from the Scottish border and got good crops in poor weather, anyone south of me should do really well...whatever the weather does next year!

              Steve...:)

              Of course, silly me:)

Vince will do alright, its warmer in town than in the countryside.

Sheal, As everyone has been warned you don`t need to "buy" presents. Leave your money in the bank and buy everything on tick. Also, because of the end of the world, Christmas Day next year will fall on the 18th.:heehee::hapfeet::dbgrtmb:

It doesn't bother me Dai, I was thinking of everybody else. I haven't 'done' Christmas for five years, I decided to jump off the commercial bandwagon. Hubby and I will be off out with a picnic for Christmas dinner to our island's 'Lands End' overlooking the sea and only gulls and may be some seals for company. Perfect! :)
