OK well I am getting some off to Liz and stingo in next couple of days so mail me your address.

I love all your exotic stuff, its just that in an English country garden, it just does not aleays fit in HOWEVER......I am trying my hand at cannas this year, though not sure where I am going to put them.

Tropicals are very addictive. My aunt changed her garden completely after visiting mine, even before I had finished it. Hers is nearly a match for mine, but not quite. I think the size that the plants acieve in such a short space of time is fascinating. Plus I was heavily motivated by creating a foliage womb for myself to hide the new development which replaced the orchard at the end of our neighbours garden. cannas are a great place to start. I will try and do a guide to growing from seed. It is so easy and a great deal cheaper.

I will PM you my address and recipricate with the
    Dodecatheon meadia when it finishes.

No way I could change the whole garden, as garden has to match the Edwardian Villa, however my husband gets fed up with pots on the terrace and this morning I woke up with a brilliant idea.

I am selling my horse due to an accident, and the stable area will be vacant - a scorching hot sheltered south facing aspect which needs to be planted up (concrete base). I think it is just crying out for tropical planting.

as to foliage womb I have one of those - Mr waco does not like to get any white bits when he sunbathes so we dug up the huge fruit cage and have a seceret garden within the garden.
