That is so terribly sad, she looks like my old old cat Sami, who also died of kidney failure at the age of 17. It is a terrible thing to lose a pet after all those years. At least her pains did not drag on and on,poor darling. My heart is with you and yours! Kat

I'm so sorry to hear that, Paladin. k-l

Our Gato died of kidney failure, too, 18 months ago. We had him put to sleep to spare him the pain that would have come within a few days, so know that as hard as it was for you and Mrs Pal, you did the best for your Lucky.

I was sent this lovely poem when Gato died, and have passed it along to friends who have lost their cats in the meantime. Now I am sending it to you and Mrs Pal. It makes you cry to read it, but it also makes you smile and be happy through the tears.

    Condolences Pal............

It is quite a coincidence that we had to have our Tootsie put down today too.
He died of much the same as your Lucky.....Tumour ,kidneys and dehydration,he was about 17.
Here he is in his good old days..............

:( I find all this distressing as a cat person ... but my heartfelt thoughts are with you Pal, roders and you too vineman.

I am sure they were all truly loved 'members of the family' and will be desperately missed.

    k-l xx

Pal, Roders and Vineman,so sorry to read about the loss of your beloved special friends.

I know that none of them are suffering any more as they have become free from all pain and suffering and they are altogether over the Rainbow Bridge:luv:
