    Rodders and pal,

As a cat lover my deepest condolences. The bond a cat makes is almost as deep as a human relationship, certainly how i felt about my old cat and current one.

Our puss cat friends are a big miss when they go. You just never quite realise how they have sneaked their way into your heart and curled up there. When they're gone there's this big empty, cat shaped hole ....

My condolences to both of you.

Paladin and Roders - I've only just caught up with your thread and just want to say I'm sorry to hear of your losses. Even though I've put to sleep many a cat who has been incurably poorly or very old, it still never gets easier when it comes to losing one of my own - you just can't help falling for their unconditional love and the trust they give you by sharing their short lives with you.

RIP to our furry friends and all the best to their human friends who give them kindness through their lives, especially at the end.

    Kath x

Mrs Pal and I were wondering if finding a new cat would be the sensible thing to do to ease the hurt we still feel for Lucky or perhaps it's best to not try to replace her. We still have Mum in Law's 'Rusty' after all:)

At this time of year when millions of unwanted kittens are put to sleep or thrown out to go feral, I can't think of anything better Nick.

It is best not to try to replace Lucky, because you can't, but you can save one from the chop.

I think it would be lovely to have another cat Nick
and it would be company for Rusty.
I would love to have another cat - it is years since
we lost Sophie but I still miss her.

He is lovely, Paladin, and he knows that he is on to a good thing by moving in with you. Please give him a big kiss and cuddle from me, thanks! k-l

A kiss and a cuddle!...I'll pass this one on to Mrs Pal if you don't mind....after all,you never know where he's been:hehe:

Me and Rusty have been gardening this afternoon. He always sat with Mum in law while she was gardening and since little Lucky past away he's taken to me big time...like a bloomin shadow he is!:D...He's even taken over Lucky's bed in the greenhouse. And when I'm sat on the bench near the footpath that runs through my patch he jumps up alongside me, which makes for great conversation with the ramblers who stop and pet him....I've chatted with folk from J-O Groats to Lands End.:)
