Awe poor wee soul. Not knowing much about chooks can be of no assistance other than wafting vibes that she will become uneggbound. Jeffrey, my pet Pheasant sends his best for speedy recovery:)

I dont think the sudden change in temps has helped @Lolimac ,its like they've not been able to ease into springtime:sad:x
I had 3 in 1 next box yesterday all laying at the same time, caused a right comotion:gaah:!then i had 4 bawking their lungs out,i bet the neighbours hate me,sid was quieter :heehee:
Ive got past the vent pecking problem(with no casualties) i hope apart from feather pecking on a few backs still that i think im on a home run.
Hopefully she is just going through the change loli xx

Having read the previous posts, I thought horses were complicated! Do hope all feathered friends feel better soon. My pet Pheasant (he adopted me rather than the other way round) seems in ridiculously good health. He is literally bursting with vigour and his feathers are glistening, typical male of the species feeling up (literally:)) for anything while the poor female of the species isn't perhaps feeling quite so up for anythings:roflol:

Hiya Joolz...i gave her a warm soak this morning and kept her in till she was properly dry,but unless there's a miracle i can't see her getting through this one...she looks alert and bright eyed but her mobility is getting poorer...and she's not eating or drinking which concerns me...she perked up a bit when her 'sisters' came to see her so at tea time i took her back to the coop...i keep checking and they're all snuggled up together...i'm reluctant to take her to the vets as they'll just prod and poke her but i think i'm stalling the inevitable ...she's been like this a few times before and pulled through so i must give her a chance....plus i'm being selfish and don't want to part....she's still 'chatty' and any obvious signs of distress i'll do right by her:thumbsup:

If she is still chatty i think thats hopeful :blue thumb:,i wouldnt go to a vet either as like your thinking they would just rummage then offer to pass her,see how she goes you know how hens can be on & off food at times when they are poorly but dripper feed water into her if needed to get her through the tough time,i wish they could talk! xx
