    Thanks FC. All taken on board. :) I already have a free version of AVG that I use but it hadn't shown the virus that the scan did today, so it's obviously not fool proof.

    ESET ain't bad and same goes for Malwarebytes.

    Norton and McAfee are IMO the worst for system slow down and the easiest to get anything past.

    AVG seems to be dropping the ball lately.
    I use to like it but was getting too many false positives due to the over simplistic heuristics they use.
    One of AVG's favourites is to mark an application as a trojan if it's below a certain size and uses any system calls that involve the network.

    Now I only use Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection on my Windows 7 machines and I'm very happy with it.
