See i think that is lovely and very sweet and kind of you and I hope that the men who didn't, didn't feel like they shouldn't because their masculinity would be in question.

If i was able bodied and didn't need any help i would of probably gave gone thank you but I'm ok. As a sickie now i would be extremely grateful

I would completely agree with you I cant stand people who are rude to waiters or waitresses etc I think it is disgusting behaviour. I probably say thank you too much when it comes to that stuff but I would rather be overly polite than not polite enough

I don't get people who are rude to people serving you food or drinks anyway they could do anything to it before you consume it if they wanted. Why would create a situation where that may happen for no reason.

 

First time I ever heard it I knew it didn't bode well ... and, as it was me that was being sent to the Big Boss to *be* admonished, well, I knew for certain I wasn't going to *like* it!

I duly presented myself, was informed I was being formally admonished, told the reason why and I was really shaking inside. I happened to query something in the reasoning and point out a teeny little fact which was inaccurate and then, having received my admonishment set off for my one hour drive home

Half way home, my pager went off and I pulled over to call home. Told I had change route, go to the main office where Not-Quite-So-Big-Boss had been called by Big Boss to inform me I was now to be "expunged" Well, I had no idea what that meant either but I did know it sounded even more painful than being admonished and I really, no, I mean really-really didn't want to be expunged

Turns out being expunged following an admonishment is actually rather good

expunged does indeed sound horrendous. I don't like the sound of that word at all it makes me think of horrible sounds and gross stuff

I did google the meaning but its totally different to how that word sounds

Never apologise Shiney. I absolutely love learning so appreciate being introduced to something new especially when it comes to language because i am terrible at language and spelling. Its what i have always struggled with

the only downside of you teaching me new words in my ex already thinks i use too many long words and I have to constantly explain what things like procrastinate mean etc.

 

Oh, I can assure you it was ... that is precisely how Mr "M" reported it to me on the phone when he told me the Not-So-Big-Boss wanted to see me immediately and why

 

It's in the blood @LyndaG ! It started with my dad and brothers and there are still five members of my family that ride. My elder brother restores vintage bikes also.

 

Bikes can be so dangerous though, two of my cousins are bike mad and earlier this year one came off his, he has had to have two operations on his arm, a really nasty break god love him.

 

Accidents will and do happen Honeybunny. I'm touching wood here, but my family have been accident free until now. A lot depends on the behaviour of the person riding and also other road users that have no respect for them. Awareness of bikers is foremost here on the island because of TT and GP, it's not so on the mainland unfortunately.
