    and after... [IMG]
Done on a very limited budget (£100) and although wouldn't win any golds, I do think it's an improvement. Passion Flower 'Lavender Lady', Clematis Warsaw Nike and a jasmine growing up the trellis.
Hope this picture thing worked [IMG]

Looks much better WM, I bet the gravel cools the sun from beating back up at you like I expect the concrete did.

What a wonderful garden! After all that thought, work, planning, work, effort, work and more work, you must really enjoy sitting back and admiring it all. Mrs BM too. A job more than well done.

Cheers Kedi-Gato, I love seeing everyones befores and afters. LOL's is even more impressive having done it in a foreign land with far more environmental constraints than I get in Essex. :D Is it lush and green where you are in Germany?

I should get a scanner and get some of the real old waco photos of house/garden, problem is with a garden this size even though we have transformed it, the more you do the more you want to carry on!

    Hey ho thats gardening!

    BM,
the gravel was free as my Dad 'acquired' it from work [IMG] It does level out the dodgy concrete though.
LOL, yours looks lovely. You've obviously put loads of work in in that heat!! Hopefully, in a couple of years I will amaze you with my lush planting. Just got a lot of digging to do before then. [IMG] :D :D

Thanks, K-G, BM and WM. It was LOTS of hard work and sweat in the sun, I can assure you ... shame it didn't sweat off a wee bit more poundage!

Waco, we use a scanner for everything other than the very latest as we've only just got a digi camera (off e-Bid here for 10 Euros plus 15 Euros for the memory card ... camera cost £570 new!) and still learning how to use it.

Windy, it's looking absolutely great and I can't wait to see phots when that trellis is overtaken with the greenery and flowers!

PS, Windy ... I think it's time you stopped banging your head against the wall (you surely must have a headache by now) and start patting yourself on the back! :D

hi BM - yes, everything is lush and green here in north Germany, can't complain. After the two heat waves we had this summer (they were really just too much) we are now into a cool, windy and rainy spell. So we are back to wearing sweaters and socks again. But at least our cistern is full again, we had just about emptied it during these hot spells.

I prefer the pond to the bathtub, Rich! :D Come on, get the camera out and take another!

Love the colour, PeterS! Very striking.
